Behavior and character
This Touraine hen particularly likes to peck and explore its environment, even on days when you wouldn’t dare step outside. Neither the cold nor the rain can convince her to stay indoors; she spends her life gleaning in all possible weather conditions. Therefore, her adventurous temperament does not go well with brooding; her maternal instinct is not very developed. This rustic hen likes to occupy her day to the fullest and will wait until the last moment to join her nest box.
Géline de Touraine can be apprehensive at first. No need to worry; however, she will eventually adapt to her new family and will be a very pleasant companion hen, both calm and cuddly.
