Poule Orpington

Behavior and character
Orpingtons are simply adorable. Extremely calm and friendly, they bond with their owners much more quickly than other breeds. They are soft and perfect if you have children. This docility allows them to adapt to a classic farmyard, the henhouse, and free-range on the farm and city or housing estate gardens. They are relatively passive birds; they don’t do well in mixed flocks that include more aggressive breeds, such as the Rhode Island Red or the Brahma. However, they are decent explorers, able to get all the food found in the grass.

Orpington roosters are also unusually gentle.
